THE FAKE QUEEN

So I almost brushed up against her last week when I wasn't paying attention. Mistakenly, I thought I was approaching the real queen. My head down with the exertion of the climb, I didn't look up till the last second. It wasn’t until then that I realized she wasn't (yikes) the right one to be cozying up to! Her silhouette (if you’re not paying attention) is the same all the way until you get up really close. I went by again today on my ride and got a better look. It turns out that the fake queen doesn't have three main branches like the real queen. She has four. But you can't see that until you get right up next to her. So on the approach, she appears to be the same as the true Shekinah who has three branches - until at the last second you realize you got the wrong one. And why is she the wrong one? Because she’s got four branches. That means her worldview/relationship-axis model has 4 branches (spiritual, social, mental, and physical). But we don’t want that. That would be idolatry - to put in the highest place something in this world. We want the upper-level queen. And what does it mean that the real Shekinah (for us) has three? It just means she's one step simpler in her reality than the four-branched reality of the fake queen, who is actually the queen of this world, and there's a war on for your soul. Who will you serve? Who do you love?
